Day 1 -
Arrive in Luxor

Nile cruise holidays begin in the fascinating city of Luxor. Your tour guide will meet you at the airport and escort you to the ship. Spend the rest of the day getting acquainted with the beautiful ship and tuck into a delicious dinner, then spend your first night on board the ship in Luxor.

Day 2 -
Luxor’s West Bank on Nile Cruise Holidays

Today we cruise along the West Bank of the Nile, calling at Hatshepsut Temple, the famous Valley of the Kings and the magnificent Colossi of Memnon. After lunch we sail to Esna, giving you chance to relax and enjoy the extraordinary views from the ship. Tonight, Nile cruise holidays dock in Edfu.

Day 3 -
Edfu to Aswan
|
This morning, disembark and explore the impressive Temple of Edfu, one of the best preserved temples in all of Egypt. It is believed to have been built as far back as 237 BC in honour of the falcon god, Horus. Later, Nile cruise holidays sail onwards past beautiful scenery towards Aswan for an overnight stay.

Day 4 -
Sightseeing in Aswan

After breakfast, take a sightseeing tour to the legendary Aswan High Dam and the remarkable Philae Temple which had to be re-sited ahead of the construction of the Aswan Low Dam. After lunch on board the ship, your afternoon is free for you to relax and explore at will, perhaps choosing one of our superb optional excursions that are designed to enhance Nile cruise holidays. A second night is spent in Aswan.

Day 5 -
Felucca Tour around Aswan
|
After a leisurely morning, board a traditional Egyptian sail boat known as a felucca and set off on a scenic voyage around the various islands. There is also a chance to see the picturesque Botanical Gardens and the site of the Agha Khan Mausoleum as we sail. Nile cruise holidays spend one final night docked in Aswan before returning the following day.

Day 6 -
Kom Ombo and Edfu
|
Departing from Aswan, enjoy the scenery as we sail to the farming town of Kom Ombo which is famous for its uniquely designed temple. It was built in honour of two gods and as such, there is two of everything, with the two halves matching each other in perfect symmetry. Afterwards, Nile cruise holidays return to Edfu where we dock for the night.

Day 7 -
Luxor’s East Bank
|
Sailing once more into Luxor, the ship makes its way along the East Bank, giving guests the opportunity to visit the magnificent Karnak and Luxor Temples. After a day exploring these historic sites, your evening is free for you to spend in Luxor, so make the most of the final night of Nile cruise holidays.

Days 8 to 15 -
Hurghada Extension Begins
|
Bid farewell to the ship and your fellow passengers and transfer by coach to Hurghada. Check into your specially selected hotel in the city and enjoy your first night of Nile cruise holidays on dry land.
This week is yours to spend as you wish. Relax at the hotel, go sightseeing in the city, or book some of our optional excursions to some fascinating nearby places. You may like to explore the colourful coral reefs on a diving trip, or stay dry and see the fabulous sea life at the city’s aquarium. You can also take a trip in a submarine to experience the underwater realm of the Red Sea. Hurghada has some lively markets where you can pick up some lovely souvenirs to take home, or head out of the city into the desert on a 4x4 driving tour and visit an authentic Bedouin camp. With so many enticing things to do in Hurghada, this extension really adds flavour to our Nile cruise holidays.
On day 15, take a coach transfer back to Luxor Airport for your return flight.
